Hi! My name is Chelsea.
Welcome to Living Life with Chels. For the first few years after obtaining my undergraduate degree, I was stuck in a rut. I found myself in this continuous cycle of disappointment. Life wasn’t at all what I expected it to be. Feeling the weight of outside pressures as well as the pressure I put on myself, I began a downward spiral that led to anxiety and depression. My days consisted of me going through the motions without feeling a sense of purpose. I was existing, not living.

In my never-ending cycle, I stumbled on Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

I decided to submit my desires and will for my life to God. I decided to submit, obey and trust. Trust that God’s will for my life exceeds my own. Trust that God desires the best for me. Trust that God is moving on my behalf.

I want to encourage you today. That’s the reason for my blog – encouragement. Maybe you are stuck in a rut, where you feel that you are just here, in this space, doing what is needed to exist, but not really living. Not experiencing the fullness of joy or the peace that surpasses all understanding that God’s Word promises us. Not aware of God’s goodness and His mercy that follows us all the days of our lives. Christ Jesus died so that we may live. My hope is that you will read the posts found on this blog, be encouraged and start to live a life worth living.
